Several items have changed. The deadline for registration has been extended until June 11. Also, the block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn has been extended until June 1. To make sure this event is special and that everyone has FUN, we have added a children’s area with a bounce house and games, a free family swim time at our Waterworks Park, and a family fun scavenger hunt on Denton’s historic square! Not to mention the $200 cash for first place winners…

TxSWANA’s Finest Award Program
This year, the Lone Star Chapter of SWANA will be presenting awards to facilities in Texas for excelling in their field of operations. The finalists will be notified and the winners announced at the awards ceremony this summer in Garland.
There are eight (8) categories you may submit an application. The award categories are:
- Compost Program
- Integrated Solid Waste System
- Landfill Gas Project
- Landfill Design and Operations
- Public Education and Community Outreach Program
- Recycling Program
- Special Waste Program
- Transfer Stations
