HHDR is a highly successful Employee-Owned firm that has been in business for over 90 years. We are a top 20 ENR firm, with a #2 ranking in Solid Waste/Waste Management. The North Texas offices of HDR are currently seeking a Solid Waste Engineer for their solid waste/landfill planning and design market. This position will report to the McKinney office department manager and be responsible for supporting the design and execution of projects in the Solid Waste Program in North Texas. This candidate will work in partnership with the local Waste Sector Leadership to fulfill the job responsibilities. This position while technically focused may have activities involving managing projects as Project Manager responsible for leading a project team to meet client expectations and deliver projects within budget, schedule, and quality expectations. May participate or support in business and community activities as a representative of HDR.
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field
• Knowledge of Texas environmental regulations and procedures
• 5+ years general civil design experience
• Prefer Planning experience with Solid Waste clients/projects
• Current Texas PE or ability to obtain license within 6 months.
• Familiarity with the Texas solid waste marketplace is preferred.
• Classes or training in environmental law a plus
• Proven written, oral, and team communication skills.
• Team player attitude.
