A significant amount of progress has occurred since our last communication on the State's proposed revision to the
SOP rules through the actions of our legal counsel, representatives of TCEQ, and members of the legislative committee.
TCEQ appears to have welcomed our input to the proposed revisions and will proceed to further evaluate our comments
for possible incorporation. I would like to add a special thanks to them for all their hard work.

As you are aware, each year our chapter president recommends appointees to various committees for its membership.
These appointees have been identified and approved by the board of directors. It is expected that each
appointed chairperson would report on the progress that is being made by his or her committee through the chapter
newsletter source. These updates will include, but are not limited to, the following: WASTECON 2005 to be held
in Austin, and revisions to the chapter's by-;aws and industry legislative issues. Also, it is expected for you
to see a report regarding our membership.

Finally, I would like to personally thank Mr. Larry Davis, president of Heil of Texas, for his continued support to our
organization and most recently for sponsoring the luncheon at the Road-E-O competition held in Wichita Falls, Texas,
this past summer. Without the support of his company and the support of so many other vendors, we could not have
been as successful as we have been.
Thank you all once again.
