The Lonestar Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America (TxSWANA) annual truck, landfill, and mechanic Road-E-O will be held on 30 September 2005, at the Texas Disposal System facility in Austin, TX. The pupose of the Road-E-O is to promote professionalism on the part of the drivers, operators, and mechanics, in the field of solid waste management and to create a spirit of competition goodwill. This year's event promises to be one of the best ever, with one of the most unique facilities in the state hosting the event; the Road-E-O will be held in conjunction with SWANA's National Conference; and Texas will be inviting our friends in the states around us to join in for a regional event!
The truck section of the Road-E-O consists of the Truck Mechanic competition and six driving events:
- Automated Side Loader
- Front Loader
- Manual Side Loader
- Rear Loader
- Roll-off
- Transfer Tractor/Trailer
The heavy equipment section of the Road-E-O consists of the Heavy Equipment Mechanic competition and four driving events:
- Scraper
- Dozer
- Compactor
- Rubber Tire Loader
