TxSWANA Road-E-O Roundup & Results

Dallas hosted the 2006 TxSWANA Road-E-O on 3 June 2006.  Remember, 1st and 2nd place finishers are eligible to compete for the top driving and mechanical honors at the 2006 SWANA International Road-E-O in Phoenix, Arizona from 17 to 19 August 2006.  Hope to see you there!

Job Opening in Amarillo:  Assistant Public Works Director

The City of Amarillo, located in the panhandle of Texas, seeks an individual to serve as the Assistant Director of Public Works.  Qualified applicants should be prepared to administer to about 300 employees, 900 pieces of equipment of various types, and a $30 million budget.  Duties include supervision of street maintnance, storm water facilities, engineering services, and construction projects.  For more details, click here.

Job Opening in Grapevine:  Environmental Specialist II

The City of Grapevine, in the North Central Texas Metroplex, seeks an Environmental Specialist (Level 2) to ensure compliance with applicable requirements for environmental issues.  Qualified applicants should be prepared to interact with public and private entities concerning solid waste & recycling, storm water, pretreatment, cross connection control, and other topics.  In addition, applicants should demonstrate strong oral and written skills and ability to conduct investigations, inspections, audits, surveys, etc.  Must be able to operate and perform minor maintenance on pollution control equipment.  For more details, click here.
